Danube River

The picturesque Danube is one of Europe's great rivers.  It flows from Germany to Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Romania and Bulgaria before emptying into the Black Sea.

A number of attractive bridges cross the Danube River as it flows through Bratislava in the Slovak Republic.

Tourists can enjoy a river cruise from Bratislava to Vienna Austria.  Cruises also run downstream (i.e. east) from Bratislava to Budapest Hungary and Belgrade, Serbia.
